Is it based on total miles driven or engine miles only? Is there a way to get a lifetime summary of engine versus EV miles?

there is a warning in the dash which tells you when it's time to change the oil. typically, my car has gone almost exactly 20,500 mi between oil changes. except this last time, the warning never came. by the time I started thinking it had been a while, I was at 33,000 mi! still not sure why the warning never came, but my theory is the warning light is more of a mile counter, and when I had the car into the dealer at some point they reset it.

There is also a water sensor for the oil. Also keeps track if short trips or longer trips. Warm up breaks down oil faster.
